These Terms & Conditions govern purchases and use of the Cool Melon website, WooCommerce store, NFC business card products, public digital profiles, customer dashboard, renewal/edit-access services, and related digital tools.

Before production use, this document should be reviewed and completed with the exact legal details of the business entity operating the store.

1. Seller / Service Provider

The website is operated by Cool Melon / First Idea. Replace this section with the full registered business name, VAT number, registered address, email address, and any mandatory business registry information before launch.

2. Products and Services

Cool Melon sells NFC business cards, NFC tags, QR-enabled cards, custom printed card products, and related digital profile services. A product may include a physical NFC/QR card or tag, design/preparation work, programming of a card destination, a public digital profile, vCard download functionality, and customer dashboard edit access for a defined period, renewal product, or subscription/access pass.

One physical card is not necessarily equal to one digital profile. A customer project may include multiple profiles and one profile may be linked to multiple physical cards.

3. Account and Dashboard Access

Customers may need a WooCommerce account to access the NFC card dashboard. Customers are responsible for keeping login details secure and for all activity under their account. When edit access expires, public NFC profiles may remain live, but customer editing may be locked until renewal or reactivation.

4. Orders and Acceptance

Placing an order means you offer to buy the selected products/services under these Terms. The order is accepted when payment is confirmed and/or we send an order confirmation or begin processing the order. We may refuse, cancel, or refund an order if payment fails, product information is incorrect, fraud is suspected, required customization information is missing, or fulfilment is not possible.

5. Prices, Taxes, and Payment

Prices are shown on the product and checkout pages. Prices may include or exclude VAT/taxes depending on the shop configuration and customer location. Any applicable taxes, shipping charges, and fees are shown at checkout before payment.

6. Customer Content and Profile Information

Customers are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of all content submitted for card artwork, public profiles, vCards, images, logos, links, names, phone numbers, email addresses, job titles, company data, and social media URLs. You must have the rights and permissions needed to use any logos, images, trademarks, names, or personal data you provide.

We may refuse, remove, disable, or request changes to content that appears unlawful, unsafe, infringing, technically harmful, or unsuitable for the service.

7. Design, Proofing, and Production

For custom printed cards, customers may be asked to provide artwork, logo files, brand preferences, profile details, and approval before production. Colors, print finish, NFC placement, QR size, material appearance, and screen previews may vary slightly due to production methods, device displays, and material characteristics.

8. Shipping and Delivery

Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance and may vary due to production queues, courier delays, customs, incomplete customer information, or force majeure events. Please inspect delivered products promptly and contact us if there is a defect, damage, or delivery issue.

9. NFC Compatibility

NFC functionality depends on the recipient’s device, device settings, NFC availability, browser behavior, operating system, and network access. QR codes and direct profile URLs may be used as fallback methods where NFC is unavailable.

10. Renewals and Edit Access

Renewal products or subscriptions may extend customer dashboard edit access for a selected NFC project. The public profile may remain live even when edit access is expired, unless disabled by the store, customer request, or legal/technical reason. Renewal purchases must be linked to the correct project.

11. Intellectual Property

The Cool Melon website, software, profile templates, design system, text, layout, code, and branding are protected by intellectual property rights. Customers retain rights to their own uploaded logos, artwork, and profile content, but grant us the limited rights needed to produce cards and operate the digital profile service.

12. Acceptable Use

You must not misuse the website or NFC profile service, attempt unauthorized access, upload malware, scrape the service, interfere with security, impersonate others, publish unlawful content, or use profiles for fraud, spam, phishing, or deceptive activity.

13. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply under EU or Greek law, including rights relating to legal guarantees, defective goods, unfair terms, and distance purchases.

14. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cool Melon is not liable for indirect loss, loss of business, lost profits, third-party platform changes, device incompatibility, customer-provided incorrect data, or customer misuse of public profile links. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update products, features, prices, renewal options, and these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page.

16. Governing Law

These Terms should be governed by the laws applicable to the operating business. If the business is established in Greece, Greek law and applicable EU consumer protection rules may apply. Complete this section with final legal advice before launch.
